Hi David I tried to message you yesterday but the site was not allowing me to send messages. It would appear that even though I uninstalled and re-installed some bits were still lurking about, because when I tried to download by visiting Google Maps download, my location map appeared but there were no command options and did not open any typed in addresses, so I installed a free trial version of Malware Bytes this cleared PUPs which done the trick, after rebooting and reinstalling every thing is working perfectly now , hope this helps.

It helps to know that I can’t find something because it doesn’t exist. Why don’t they have Google Maps for Windows 10? I am now having a problem setting it as my default for maps. I go to the appropriate default page but it won’t let me change the application for Maps and I get the “Choose an app” and it only gives me the option of the windows version of maps. The other option is “Go to windows store” and if I choose that, I get the error message: “ms-windows-store:Assoc? I wish Windows 10 wasn’t trying to make us so dependent on their programs.
